Much to our delight, Ryan Murphy has announced that next season, American Horror Story will "start from scratch" in a whole new house, and that each subsequent season will have a fresh story. Even better, this means that if Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott and Jessica Lange (or anyone else from this year) return, it will be as entirely different characters and/or creatures.
