It's not DVD -- it's HBO.

The Josephine Baker Story
Thurgood
The Tuskegee Airmen
With the impending launch of Black History Month, HBO releases three prestige pictures on Blu-ray and DVD, starting with 1991's The Josephine Baker Story, starring Lynn Whitfield as the legendary exotic performer who broke racial barriers on her own terms. The Tuskegee Airmen from 1995 covers some of the same ground that will be on display in the George Lucas produced war movie Red Tails, which arrives in theaters this week. Laurence Fishburne, Cuba Gooding Jr. (who also stars in Red Tails) and Malcolm-Jamal Warner play members of the famous African-American fighting unit that flew a number of dangerous missions during World War II. Fishburne headlines the third and final disc, 2011's Thurgood, a filmed version of his one-person theatrical show in which he played Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall.
Extras: Josephine Baker includes an audio commentary with Whitfield and the film's writer and co-producer, while Thurgood arrives sans extras and Airmen comes with a 32-page booklet with behind-the-scenes photos and archival shots of the real Tuskegee squadron.

Sliders: The Fifth and Final Season
After a lengthy delay, the final season of this mid-'90s sci-fi series finally arrives on DVD. When it began airing on Fox in 1995, the show revolved around Jerry O'Connell's grad student Quinn Mallory, who created a piece of technology that allowed he and his team to travel between alternate universes. By Season 5, O'Connell (and his brother Charlie, who joined the show in its fourth year) was gone and replaced by Robert Floyd, who portrayed an alternate version of Quinn. The season built to a cliffhanger ending designed to back the Sci Fi Channel (which started airing the series in Season Four) into greenlighting another year. Needless to say, the gambit didn't work.
Extras: None that have been announced.

George Gently: Series 1
Bill Moyers: Amazing Grace
Imagine Mad Men crossed with Law & Order and you've got George Gently, a '60s-set British series about a London cop that finds himself transferred to North East England and experiences all the culture shock that comes with that kind of big move. Veteran British actor Martin Shaw portrays Gently on the series, which just aired its fourth season in its native country. In Amazing Grace, Bill Moyers investigates the origins and various iterations of the classic hymn, talking with various historians and musicians and featuring performances from such famous singers as Pete Seeger, Judy Collins and Johnny Cash.
Extras: George Gently has text interviews with members of the cast and crew and Amazing Grace features a bonus documentary about Seeger, a 12-page viewing guide and biographies of Moyers and the various performers.

Also on DVD:
Need a little medieval action to tide you over until Game of Thrones returns in April? Check out Merlin: The Complete Third Season, which collects the third year of the BBC series about the wizard that's so famous, he only needs to go by one name. The Adult Swim series Delocated: The Complete Seasons One & Two is a reality show spoof in which a Witness Protection Program family lands their own show, but have to wear balaclavas whenever they're on camera to keep their identities a secret.
