Parks and Recreation will get a visit from the White House soon.
The NBC comedy has signed on West Wing veteran Bradley Whitford for the Season 4 finale. He'll play the departing Pawnee city councilman whose seat Leslie and Bobby Newport are gunning for.
The Good Wife is welcoming back old characters Louis (Micheal J. Fox), Lana Delaney (Jill Flint) and Tammy (Elizabeth Reaser) for its Season Three home stretch. I'm ready for a little revamping, if I do say so myself. Bring back classic Good Wife and I'm in!
TNT is also welcoming back an old face. Actor-comedian Bill Engvall is set to star in and executive produce an hour-long project about a Texas cop pulled out of his element to join the NYPD. Blue-collar comedy meets big apple satire... pretty sure that's been done about a million times before.
Sad news for all you '60s sitcom fans out there (but good news for people who can see a bad idea from a mile away): NBC has pushed production on its re-vamped Munsters pilot, Mocking Bird Lane, until June. Guess we'll just have to wait until then to see who dons those cute little Eddie Munster ears.
Heads up, geeks: Comic book publisher IDW announced it will publish a Doctor Who/Star Trek: The Next Generation crossover series in May -- just in time to make a splash at San Diego Comic-Con in April.
Showtime has drafted both Elliott Gould and Jon Voight to join the cast of the upcoming pilot called Ray Donovan, which stars Liev Schreiber. The show centers on the story of the Hollywood Secretary of Labor. '70s sex symbols and Liev Schreiber in one room; really old meets really beautiful.
In more re-occurring news about Disney movies being "re-vamped" (if that's what you want to call it), Silent Hill director Christophe Gans has written and is currently shopping around his own version of Beauty and the Beast, with Vincent Cassel as the Beast and Lea Seydoux as the woman who loves him. I don't think the phrase, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," is uttered enough lately in Hollywood.
Lastly, John Stamos is set to star in upcoming Fox comedy pilot Little Brother. The comedy centers around Stamos' character, who finds out he has a stepbrother who also is an ex-con. Somewhere, Will Schuester is manically laughing in victory.
