How to Tell If You're Watching Game of Thrones or The Killing on Sunday

Two big Season 2 premieres are scheduled for Sunday, April 1: HBO's Game of Thrones and AMC's The Killing. To make sure you're watching the correct show and not falling victim to some kind of strange TV-related April Fool's prank, we're created a helpful guide to get you on the right track with the series you're attempting to watch. FYI: Those interested in the three-house Celebrity Apprentice episode need not worry about any confusion.

Clue: The narrative is painfully slow.
Your Show: The Killing, infamous for having a bottle episode mid-murder investigation.

Clue: There is a truly deplorable female lead.
Your Show: Clearly you're tuned in to The Killing. We all know Sarah Linden is an expert at screwing up all kinds of otherwise simple situations.

Clue: You're convinced that you could never survive in this universe.
Your Show: The Killing, as the Seattle police force is beyond incompetent. In Westeros, assuming you're rich, smart and don't mind a little wind chill, you're probably good to go.

Clue: Children are regularly forgotten about and disregarded.
Your Show: Game of Thrones surprisingly cares a lot about its youngsters. The Killing regularly forgets they exist -- unless an "encouraging" adult character is creepily (and allegedly) in love with a dead one.

Clue: Frustratingly underserving people have high-powered jobs that they suck at.
Your Show: Lest you forget Joffrey gets things done (via getting other people to get things done for him), The Killing is the show that has the worst homicide detective ever partnered up with a recovering drug addict working his first murder case, and a politician who's dumb enough to use the pseudonymous e-mail he uses to hire prostitutes as his official campaign address. We could go on... and we have.

Clue: Mysteries get solved.
Your Show: Game of Thrones. Easy.
