Get ready to take another ride along with the officers of Rookie Blue.

The ABC-by-way-of-Canada cop series Rookie Blue has been picked up for another season, which will begin production later this summer just as the currently airing Season 3 winds down.

It seems like every former Broadway star is joining the cast of The Good Wife these days. The smart CBS drama has just signed Nathan Lane for a recurring role as a bank employee who will butt heads with Will and Diane. Meanwhile, Kristin Chenoweth -- who most recently starred on the now-cancelled ABC series GCB -- will also have a recurring role as a reporter who will attempt to dig up dirt on Peter and Alicia's marriage.

And if Broadway babies are unable to find work on The Good Wife, they can always head across the street to Smash instead. Theater veteran Andy Mientus has scored a part as a poor wannabe playwright who will appear in the show's second season. While we're excited to see someone with serious chops in the next year of this hit-or-miss (more often "miss") show, what we're really happy about is the lack of certain characters, like sociopath Ellis and serenading stalker Michael Swift.

Roseanne Barr should watch out, because Glee's meanest cheerleading coach will be hosting Comedy Central's Roast of Roseanne Barr. Here's hoping she leaves the choreographed mash-ups at McKinley High.

In sad news, author and filmmaker Nora Ephron passed away yesterday at age 71 due to leukemia-related pneumonia. The child of two screenwriters, Ephron entered the family business after a stint as a journalist in 1976, when she collaborated with her then-husband Carl Berntsein on a revision of the screenplay for the Oscar-winning film All the President's Men. That led to her co-writing 1983's Silkwood, for which she received a Best Screenplay Oscar nomination. Her career skyrocket to another level with the release of the timeless 1989 romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally. Ephron began directing her own scripts with 1992's This Is My Life and went on to make such films as Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail and Bewitched. At the time of her death, she was working on a potential TV pilot about a bank compliance officer. Sounds like the perfect comeback vehicle for her muse, Meg Ryan.
