Comic-Con -- the world's biggest geek press conference -- brought tons of insider info on all things television and film. TV and movie news? Awesome. Dressing up like any Marvel character? We'd rather not squeeze in the tights.
In Comic-Con animation news, Seth MacFarlane has made some announcements at this year's Comic-Con. Sarah Michelle Geller, Rupert Grint, Danny Glover and Will Forte will all guest star on American Dad! while Elizabeth Banks will play the wife of Lois's ex-boyfriend on the next season of Family Guy. Both shows premiere September 30.
Also from Comic-Con -- hey, remember how awesome the Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog was? You know, the one that everyone was talking four years ago? Apparently The CW came late to the party -- the network has just announced that they will air Joss Whedon's mini-musical, which starred Nathan Fillion and Neil Patrick Harris.
Now that Alaric isn't around, The Vampire Diaries has hired another Buffy to slay the overwhelmingly attractive vampires on the series. In Plain Sight's Todd Williams has been cast as Connor, a new vampire hunter who comes to Mystic Falls. If he is going to live up to his hunter name, we'd love for it to be Stefan -- anything to stop his annoying brooding, please.

If you've always been more Team Jacob than Edward (trying not to judge here, but...) then you can look forward to another werewolf gaining more time on the small screen. MTV's surprisingly-not-terrible Teen Wolf has just been renewed for a 24-episode Season 3.
Can't possibly sit through another episode of Glee or Smash? Regardless of that, more and more television series are taking notes and making musical episodes of their own. Psych has just announced that they will have a two-hour musical episode in the next season. Well, at least Finn and Rachel won't be there.
Since we're all pretending to live in a reality where American Idol is still culturally relevant, Randy Jackson has announced that he's officially saying goodbye to his longtime position a judge on the singing competition. With Randy, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler gone, the next season will probably end up being judged by Gary Busey and a cat, which, frankly, would make it way more entertaining.
