Get ready for some more HBO-level drama.

Last season may have went out with a bang in the shocking finale, but there's still more drama to come on Boardwalk Empire. HBO has announced that Season 3 of the series will premiere on Sunday, September 13. Treme is also coming back for another season which will begin on September 23, which we're far less excited for.

Big news for tweens! Carly Rae Jepsen of the "Call Me Maybe" (gulp) "fame" will guest star on Season 5 of 90210.

ABC has decided to throw its own pasta into the pot with a new cooking competition show called The Taste, where four culinary experts (including Anthony Bourdain) will mentor a group of chefs in order to see who can produce the tastiest dish. This thrillingly original concept will make a great addition to your DVR, right alongside Top Chef, Around the World in 80 Plates, Iron Chef, Chopped, Food Network Star...

With all the changes over at NBC's Smash, it might as well be a whole new show... which means that it might actually become a series that we don't love to hate-watch. The latest addition is Krysta Rodriguez who will be playing Karen's new "fun, spunky" roommate. Now that Karen's boyfriend Dev (and a good majority of the male cast) has been exiled from the musical show, we're looking forward to a cast member that won't bring down the show with their neediness for Karen's affection... that is, as long as she promises to never participate in a Bollywood number.

In proof that NBC takes care of their own, Luka Jones of the now-cancelled Best Friends Forever will be joining the cast of Up All Night as Reagan's brother, Scott.

We'll be seeing at least one new fresh face on the final season of Gossip Girl. Andrea Gabriel of Lost will be playing a business woman from Dubai. Since she has at least a decade on the twenty-year-olds on the show, we can only assume that she'll be cougar-chaser Nate's latest conquest. As long as we never have to see Elizabeth Hurley creepily seducing Chace Crawford again, we're happy.

Syfy has just announced that it is renewing the competition series Total Blackout, where contestants compete for cash prizes by doing challenges in complete darkness. Somehow this show is still less frightening than The Bachelorette.

Our thoughts are with the family of Ernest Borgnine, who passed away this week at age 95. The actor had memorable roles in classics like From Here to Eternity and best known for his turn as a lonely butcher in Marty, the film which earned him the Oscar for Best Actor.
