We won't know who will be in the White House come 2013, but we do know who will play the President for the next few months.
Saturday Night Live returns this weekend with a change of character -- Jay Pharoah will now be playing Barack Obama, instead of Fred Armisen. Aw man, does this mean no more of The Obama Show?
Much to our delight (assuming they cut down on the relationship tidbits next time around) Showtime has renewed Episodes for a Season 3, which is probably way more love than Matt LeBlanc's former costar Matthew Perry will get for Go On. While we're on the subject of renewals, A&E has given The Glades another season.
Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks will guest star on Parks and Recreation as Ben's dad, which is probably the best sentence I've written in my entire career.
Oh! In more sort of Party Down related news, Ryan Hansen has landed a part on 2 Broke Girls. Also, New Girl is getting Maria Thayer (Forgetting Sarah Marshall... which, with Hansen, is just one degree away from a Veronica Mars reunion) to play an ex-girlfriend of Nick's. And Bill Maher will briefly be on The Good Wife playing himself.
In development news, Gossip Girl's Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are working on a new high school drama for The CW, this one also about horrible monsters. Meanwhile, Community's Donald Glover is creating a sitcom for NBC in which he'll also star in. Troy and Abed Shooting Lava, maybe? Over at A&E, a Michael Bay pilot is in the works as well.
Jason Biggs has been tapped to co-star in Orange Is the New Black, a Netflix original series from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, which is news I would have found a little underwhelming even if it was announced in 2006.
