Time to put these animals back in their cages.
USA has declined to move forward with another season of Political Animals, a decision that seemed fairly obvious when it lost one of its big-name stars -- CiarĂ¡n Hinds -- to Game of Thrones. Should USA or any other network want to reboot the show, we've got a modest proposal for how to do it.
USA's axe didn't stop swinging with Political Animals. The network also officially canned Fairly Legal. "That's terrible!" said practically no one.
Save the date, everyone! Fringe will end its run with a two-hour series finale on January 18, 2013 starting at 8 PM. That's one way to start the new year off on the right foot.
In a move that doesn't exactly inspire confidence, Fox has cut its episode order for the yet-to-debut sitcom The Goodwin Games, the show that allowed Becki Newton to flee her dead-end role as Barney's stripper girlfriend on How I Met Your Mother. Originally scheduled for 13 episodes, only seven will be produced. Should we be anticipating fearing the return of the Mighty Quinn?
Kiefer Sutherland will reunite with an old 24 co-star when Annie Wersching drops by his new show Touch during its second season. Wait, that's really the best they could do? No Tony Almeida, Nina the Mole or even Naked Mandy? Man, it's like that episode of Episodes where Pucks's big Friends reunion featured Matt LeBlanc and... the guy who played Gunther.
In an early sign of how the recent Disney/Lucasfilm merger will impact the future of Star Wars, Cartoon Network is likely to lose the high-rated animated series The Clone Wars to Disney XD at the end of its fifth season. We can't quite decide where this falls on our pros and cons list about the franchise's future with the Mouse House Empire. Probably pro, since if The Clone Wars is headed for Disney XD, that means it can only be a matter of time until we start seeing Star Wars characters popping up on ABC.
