In "No duh" news, NBC has officially consigned Bryan Fuller's Munsters reboot, Mockingbird Lane to the dustbin of TV history. Like we said before, the pilot had some great lines and an awesome dragon, but miscasting and limited storytelling possibilities sealed its fate. Better luck with Hannibal, Mr. Fuller.

For her performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, Beyoncé will allow 100 fans to join her onstage, through a photo contest organized by Pepsi. Here's hoping the NFL will equip the singer with her own protective padding and helmet.

With visions of The Smurfs no doubt dancing in their heads, enterprising producers set out to turn the old Hanna-Barbera cartoon Hong Kong Phooey into a live-action/animation hybrid with Eddie Murphy voicing the titular martial arts-skilled canine. But kids are just going have to get their potty jokes and G-rated Murphy riffs somewhere else, as the project is more or less dead. Thankfully you can see the horror you might have been subjected to courtesy of this leaked test reel. (Also included is a brief glimpse of a trial run at another CGI-enhanced kiddie comedy, this one starring Marvin the Martian.) I think we can all agree we dodged a bullet... er, fist.

Only one week until the return of Downton Abbey people! (Those of you who don't live in the UK at least.) To whet your appetite for more upstairs/downstairs action PBS has posted the first 10 minutes of Season 3 online. But to see the main event -- namely Maggie Smith vs. Shirley MacLaine -- you'll just have to wait until the super-sized two-hour premiere on January 6.
