Comedy Central netted a big fish for its annual celebrity roast when they got James Franco interested in being mocked and ridiculed by his famous friends -- like Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill -- on national television. But the night itself turned out to be a mixed bag, with some of the roasters killing it and others seeming to hold themselves back, not wanting to piss off their pal. Here's our roaster report card from a B-level Roast of an A-list star.
I've got nothing against daytime soap operas, in fact, Santa Barbara was my after school treat and All My Children was one of the few things that my college roommate and I could agree on, but I haven't been a regular watcher of any of them since Passions went off of network television. And, in general, I'm sad that they are sort of a dying breed. That said, I'm still floored by the news that James Franco is going to join the cast of General Hospital for a two month guest arc.
We're not sure that anyone actually demanded an inside look at Paris Hilton's life, but nevertheless, Oxygen is rolling out The World According to Paris this week. To be honest, we'll probably tune in only because we think she's strangely fascinating and, whether you like it or not, extremely talented in the art of self-promotion (for example: a show called The World According to Paris airing on Oxygen). But with that said, there are plenty of other celebrities that we would've rather seen as the focus of a series like this. Here's just a few:
