The Goldbergs: The Wonder Years, ’80s Edition

Twenty-five years ago, ABC premiered The Wonder Years, a lovingly nostalgic look back at a young boy's coming of age in the late '60s. To mark that award-winning, fondly-remembered show's anniversary, the network has decided to dress The Wonder Years up in '80s duds and re-brand it as, The Goldbergs, which aired its pilot episode last night.

Young Adult: Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody Discuss Their Post-Juno Reunion

After Juno catapulted them to the Hollywood A-list four years ago, director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody team up again for Young Adult, a pitch-black comedy about young adult novelist Mavis Gary (Charlize Theron) , who deals with a sudden case of mid-life crisis by retreating to her tiny Minnesotan hometown. There, she tracks down her former flame (Patrick Wilson) and dedicates herself to stealing him back from his wife and young daughter. She also befriends her high school's resident outcast Matt (Patton Oswalt), the only person brave -- or foolhardy -- enough to call her on her B.S. The team behind Young Adult, which opens in limited release on Friday, passed through New York recently and spoke with the press about YA fiction and the resurgence of bad girls post-Bridesmaids.

Spaced: The Complete Series

Finally! Unless you're one of the initiated, you don't know how long we've been waiting for this. Available on DVD in its native U.K. for years, this 14-episode TV series was directed by Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz helmer Edgar Wright, starred both films' comedy team of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and was co-penned by Pegg as well. Also, it makes a lot of references to Star Wars, hence the Drew Struzan-esque painting of the cast on the cover of the box. Is it any wonder that American fans have been dying to get their hands on it? I mean, literally, through the black market? What a senseless waste of human life. The first Region 1 set ever would be worth it for the show alone, but the set is so packed with extras, you're really getting a bargain.

Plus: we find out when Anthony Head's new series will debut, when Mischa Barton will work again and why we can't wait to see next week's Dollhouse.
