Charlotte Rae, Mrs. Edna Garrett herself, made a surprise cameo last week on ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars, which makes perfect sense when you think about it. After all, don't Eastland's goody two shows and Rosewood's little vixens have a lot of common? Sure, they come from different economic backgrounds, but both groups of girls know what it's like to feel that the world never seems to be living up to your dreams. And despite their scheming, the Liars do have good intentions while Edna's gang have juicy little secrets of their own. In fact, the closer we looked, the more we realized how similar the characters were.
What's that knocking sound? Oh... Walter White is back.
The truth is coming back here.
We've started celebrating Independence Day a few days early, and we're especially happy because the past TV season allowed us to finally get away from some truly terrible characters. Thank goodness for deaths and cancellations. We'll light some sprinklers in these people's honor.
It seems that Rumplestiltskin won't be the only one who gets to see more of Once Upon a Time's Belle in Season 2.
Just call him Bad to the bone.
Summer used to be a time for ridiculous reality shows and reruns, but the season is now jam-packed with new and returning series, so much so that it's almost a challenge to keep up with the amount of shows premiering each week. We even had a tough time narrowing the list of shows we're anxiously awaiting down to these ten.
So much for no stunt casting this season on Glee.
To be clear, this list has nothing to do with characters we miss. When we write "Want Back From the Dead," we mean "Want Back For Full-Out Zombie Vengeance." Our choices have little to do with how much we liked (or loathed) these now-dead characters, and everything to do with how awesome it would be to see them return to their shows and eat the human flesh of their former cast mates during a monstrous apocalypse. Spoilers abound, so beware!
With Labor Day upon us, we thought we'd take a moment to recognize the underappreciated folks on TV (real and scripted) who have really busted their asses this summer in order to get their jobs done -- whatever they may be. For their sake (and in some cases ours), we're hoping they take a well-deserved long weekend to rest.
