Against my better judgment, I watched two episodes of Extreme Couponing last night and found that the new TLC series oddly fascinated and infuriated me on so many different levels. Like the patrons at the stores where these women shop, I couldn't stop look away as four full carts of groceries shrunk down from several hundreds of dollars (in one case nearly two thousand) to next to nothing. On one hand, it was kind of impressive. But on the other hand, that's only if you discount (no pun intended) all of the stuff they already have at home, the fact that they don't need most of these items and the amount of time it takes them to get this stuff.
Get a jump on the rest of the Downton faithful without having to pirate a single episode!
Catch up on a show you (along with pretty much everyone else) missed the first time around.
It's a bad week to be getting married, or even just be engaged.
Even at the holidays, people are still terrible.
We haven't had enough time to hate Big Brother's Willie Hantz properly yet... there's always next week.
Get ready for some more HBO-level drama.
We had thought that we were going to spend our summer delighting in seeing Cat Deeley on a fresh program and watching Kelly Clarkson be her adorable self, but their respective new reality shows turned out to be duds. So instead we've turned our attention to some other series that may not generate quite as much buzz, but still fill our mindless summer reality needs (kinda like these shows from the dog days of winter). They all have a charm that Snooki and JWOWW's stale act severely lacks, and are a nice companion to keep us and our DVRs busy now that So You Think You Can Dance is only on one night a week.
We thought the Dance Moms stars would come back with a vengeance, but it seems that Abby Lee Miller is saving the good stuff for later.
Great soundtrack, shame about the show.
