We're actually excited for the head-to-head match-up of The Voice and The X Factor on Wednesday, but it sure as hell isn't because of the talent competing (or the awful auditions that make our ears bleed). Instead, we've got many other reasons why we let these two singing competition shows clutter up our DVRs.
Clearly, hiring music industry professionals was of no help to The X Factor, as demonstrated by the recent axing of judge/mentors Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger (as well as host Steve Jones). Who should replace them? We suggest that Simon Cowell look to already successful reality TV judges -- regardless of whether or not they have experience critiquing singers. While some of these personalities might seem like an odd fit, each one of them would be more fun to watch than the former Laker Girl and Pussycat Doll:
Have you heard of The X Factor? It's kinda supposed to be like the old American Idol, but better and with more Pepsi commercials in the middle of each episode? In the off-chance the media blitz hasn't found you in your cave, judge Simon Cowell took a press call to answer the burning questions that we lowly Americans have about his new series (debuting tonight on Fox) and even took the time to trash a few of his competitors.
We're leaving Ken from Project Runway off our list this week because he was able to contain his utter hatred for the judges… somewhat. But let's just say it is never a good sign when your mom knows that you are like Jekyll and Hyde and can turn into a beastly monster at the drop of a hat.
It's (not gonna be) Britney (anymore), bitch.
Bye bye Brit-Brit.
Looks like those zombies claimed another victim.
Why is this man smiling? Because he just quit The X Factor!
Coming soon to FX... Homeland 2: Homeland Harder.
