Unfortunately, the biggest thing in news today is that ABC dropped Adam Lambert from both New Year's Rockin' Eve and Jimmy Kimmel Live. I would like to quote Fred Armisen's impression of Joy Behar on this one: "So what? Who cares?" But just a hot second -- he will still appear on The Jay Leno Show, which is lucky for both your grandmother and your uptight family physician.
Fox is aiming to bring a sketch comedy show back to their network, and they're calling it Inside Jokes. Kevin Connolly, of Entourage fame, is producing it. Hopefully, some day Connolly's career will be revealed as one big inside joke. Am I right or am I right?
Nancy Grace has been given the go-ahead for a new daytime TV show called Swift Justice with Nancy Grace. She's terrifying, but in a good way. She judges you through the TV. It's amazing.
CBS is airing a special featuring celebrities skiing, and hence reminding the poors that they will never be able to go skiing at fancy resorts. Neil Patrick Harris will be there, and so will Larry David, which is decidedly odd. Thinking about him skiing makes my knees hurt.
Sons of Anarchy was renewed for a third season and will return next September.
The Hills will get a sixth season in spite of low ratings. Hopefully, after this season Spencer and Heidi will have amassed enough money to disappear forever.
