TWoP 10: Hardest Working Characters on Summer TV

With Labor Day upon us, we thought we'd take a moment to recognize the underappreciated folks on TV (real and scripted) who have really busted their asses this summer in order to get their jobs done -- whatever they may be. For their sake (and in some cases ours), we're hoping they take a well-deserved long weekend to rest.

The Seven Grossest Things About Last Night's Bachelor Pad

On last night's episode, we finally got resolution on the nail-biting cliffhanger from the week prior. Big shocker: Jake went home instead of Kasey. The former Bachelor graciously (and delusionally) stepped up and gave a speech about forgiveness and how he was really glad to have met Vienna's new boyfriend and that he felt good about the whole experience. Did we mention he was a bit delusional? Or possibly under the influence of some happy pills? But after his exit, things took a turn for the worse and we spent most of the episode trying to crawl out of our own skin. And that's not even counting the unveiling of this fall's Dancing With the Stars "celebrities." The first time Nancy Grace does a dirty rumba, we're so out of there. Here's what grossed us out the most at the Pad:

Bachelor Pad: The Seven Most Cringe-Worthy Moments of Week 3

If I had only two hours left to live, I would spend it watching last night's episode because it just would. not. end. Thanks to all of the unbearable moments below, I'm wondering if it's possible to have permanent douche chills.

Dina's Party: From Real Housewife to Party Planner

What happens to Real Housewives when they leave their respective shows? Some fade into oblivion. Some try to publicly lose weight and insinuate themselves back into the shows they were cast off from (Jeana, we're looking at you). Others desperately try and find other reality shows to go on (see: Danielle, Famous Food). And then there is the rare bird that actually finds a way to make a living that suits their abilities completely.

Bachelor Pad: The Eight Most Ridiculous Moments From Week 2

While the first episode of Bachelor Pad mainly focused on Kasey, Vienna and Jake, the second episode had some genuinely dramatic moments... sandwiched in between more awkwardness between Vienna and Jake. Here are the craziest highlights:

The Most Heinous Person on Reality TV This Week

The Jersey Shore kids don't know which city they're actually in, but a lack of geography knowledge isn't the most reprehensible thing they've ever done, so that's two weeks in a row where they aren't the most disgusting people on the reality planet. That's got to be some kind of record. Here's who did make the list:

Bachelor Pad: Our Hearts Really Don't Need to Be Guarded and Protected

The season premiere of Bachelor Pad revolved less around the house's potential hookups and mostly around the love/hate triangle of Jake, Vienna and Kasey. Is this going to be how the entire summer plays out? If so, I'm dreading it. I was actually hoping that Kasey would be eliminated and that Rated R would stick around. Yes, Rated R was the wrestler jerk who was dating multiple girls and got chased around bushes by Ali on The Bachelorette, but he was pretty amusing last night as he introduced himself to his partner while they were tangled up together, and when he compared Kasey and Vienna's relationship to Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy and even when he grabbed the rose off of Jake's chest on his way out the door.

Jersey Shore Goes to Italy: The Season Premiere's Most Ridiculous Moments

Jersey Shore's much hyped trip to Italy finally premiered last night. While the show featured a lot of things that the franchise is known for, it was majorly lacking in one thing it normally has an abundance of: drama (even of the manufactured kind). Instead the episode was filled with a lot of slapstick comedy moments. So apparently the show has become a sitcom now? It sort of makes sense because these people are basically real-life caricatures. Here are the most ridiculous moments from the season opener:

The Most Heinous Person on Reality TV This Week

It's the week of Jersey Shore and yet those morons weren't the worst people on TV... yet. Let's give them time, shall we? In the meantime, see who did make the cut.

Why Great Escape Is Gordon Ramsay's Most Enjoyable Show

Right now we're inundated with shows that feature celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. Not only is Hell's Kitchen on several nights a week, but thanks to Masterchef and Kitchen Nightmares, Fox pretty much has him on year-round. And BBC America airs the UK version of Kitchen Nightmares as well. It's a whole lot of Gordon Ramsay to deal with. So when I saw that the second season of another show of his was airing on BBCA, I was less than enthused, to say the least. But then after my mother (a lover of all shows Ramsay) watched several episodes and raved about them, I felt compelled to at the very least check it out. You know how moms can be.
