Michael Crichton passed away yesterday (read our full obit in Moviefile) and while the well-rounded Crichton was better known for his work in books and the film world, he also made an impact on the TV world by creating the long-running series ER.
I don't know if you've heard, but apparently today is Election Day! Yay, democracy! The bad news, however, is that since Tina Fey has pretty much decided she's going to retire her Sarah Palin impression even if the McCain ticket takes the White House, last weekend's QVC sketch is probably the last we'll ever see of it. Very sad news indeed, but luckily we'll always have Hulu. In memoriam, I've posted each and every pageant walking, winking, maverick drinking game shouting out, Katie Couric question dodging and gam-flashing Tina-as-Sarah instance below. Golden Girls star and TV legend Estelle Getty passed away this morning at the age of 84, making this one of the saddest days in history for fans of great television. Estelle's portrayal of Sophia Petrillo was my favorite part of The Golden Girls, and her dry delivery of whore insults directed at Blanche Devereaux will live on forever. Let's all go out on the lanai, dole out some cheesecake and swap fake stories about Sicily in her honor. She will be missed.
It is with sadness that we must now mourn the death of Sarah Jessica Parker's Mole. Mole, born in 1965 in Nelsonville, Ohio, made its debut on the lower quarter of Sarah Jessica Parker's face about two millimeters below the right corner of her mouth, and subsequently went on to star as Annie on Broadway, in the cult '80s show Square Pegs, and opposite a youthful Helen Hunt in the movie Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. In the late '80s, Mole dated notorious bad boy Robert Downey, Jr. but wisely severed ties with the troubled actor in order to focus on its career. It also had a relationship with the late John F. Kennedy, Jr. MOST RECENT POSTS
