The Glee kids are about to get real Bad...
Excited to read the news today? Let's just say your feelings are Justified.
Our prayers have been answered. After Chelsea Handler proved to be absolutely terrible at last year's Video Music Awards, MTV has decided to ditch tradition and have no host at Sunday night's award ceremony. There are plenty of other shows that we wish would follow this example, as well as a few we hope never try to be as ahem edgy as MTV.
It's hard to believe that the reality TV genre can keep producing new personalities that are even more outrageous, annoying and/or disgusting than the last ones. But yet this spring alone has brought us another crop of folks we love to hate. Some of them are actually familiar faces we may have enjoyed watching in the past, while others are gifting us with their awfulness for the first time.
It's nearly Valentine's Day and while we could delight in recalling the romantic TV couples that made us swoon in the past, or list the cute almost-couples we want to have hook up now, we've opted instead to focus on current pairings who just have no business at all being together. Perhaps we've just got cold black hearts, but we'd love to see these folks split up for everyone's sake, especially viewers like us.
It's still snowing here in New York and we're all starting to get a little stir crazy. If someone says they see creepy twins or messages in a mirror, I'm so out of here. In the meantime, there's some TV news happening in the outside world.
Woohoo, it's Friday! And it's finally time to ask the question that's been on everyone's minds (okay, maybe not everyone's, but still!) all month: who watches the Watchmen? The answer: not you, if you're reading this. So kill a couple minutes with these TV newsbites before heading off into the night to check out Billy Crudup's giant, blue naked body, or get drunk, or whatever else you may have planned for the weekend. Here at TWoP, we don't judge.
What constitutes news, you might ask? An awesome celeb hosting an awards show we've never watched? That's news. Two fallen 1980s movie stars being cast in TV shows? That's news. A TV show set in the 1970s getting dropped like a bad habit? That's news. A 1990s TV star being cast in a remake of a 1980s TV show, due to appear on TV in 2010? That's a math problem, but it's also news. All those decades and more on today's... TwoP News! (Cue American Idol theme music.)
