We're sick of everyone saying that Smash reminds them of Glee. The shows have very little in common, so it's just a lazy comparison that's made because both programs happen to feature musical elements. Smash is a layered show about adults in realistic situations, not adults playing teenagers in the most ridiculous high school ever. NBC's series also has serious actors (like Anjelica Huston) and (judging by the upcoming episodes we've been privy to) actually remembers its storylines from week to week and doesn't wildly change itself in order to fit the music of the week. Oh, and its original songs are truly catchy, and the less said about that time Glee went for originality, the better. Here are the other shows Smash actually resembles:
Jeez, The X Factor did some serious damage.
Teen Mom 2's Jenelle got a reprieve this week, even though she was her normal drain on society. The commercial for next week promises she'll make a spectacular return. Here's who was horrible in her stead:
None of this would have happened if Adam Lambert won Season 8.
We offered our New Year's resolutions for shows last year, but most of them didn't pan out. Guess that's the problem with resolutions in general. Here's hoping that more of these shows stick to the suggestions we've carved out for them in the coming year.
Looks like Simon Cowell isn't the master judge he thought he was.
It's as if Mother Nature felt bad for taking our 70-degree March weather away and replacing it with rain, so she gave us some wonderfully nerdy TV news to make up for it.
It's Tuesday, which means we'll see if Idol decides to take my suggestions to slim down... a girl can dream, can't she? Anyway, there's lots of random things happening in the world, not really any of them that are good or interesting.
Today is an interesting news day. For starters, I have good news for Moonlight fans, even better news for Larry the Cable Guy fans, and great news for fans of A Shot at Love. I also have bad news for fans of The Hills, which is also bad news for people who aren't fans of The Hills, and is in fact bad news for everybody, everywhere, who is still alive. Plus, now you can collect all of your favoritest, most boringest American Idol stars. Ask me how!
