Dancing With the Stars Casting Rumors: Let's DiscussNext Monday night, after what is going to be a truly amazing Bachelor Pad episode ("Who has the worst boob job?" That show is so good I can't stand it) concludes, ABC will reveal the new cast of Dancing With the Stars. So naturally, rumors are already abounding as to who will be dancing for relevancy this fall, and most of them are pretty much the usual suspects. Let's go over their Dancing potential.

So many new shows today! I use the term "new" quite loosely, but what do you expect? As for casting, we say goodbye to one resident of The Hills, and hello again to a familiar face on House. Oh, and Paula is still around.

It's a rainy day in New York City, Dave Matthews is playing outside my window on the Today Show, and Oprah is no longer Forbes' "Most Powerful Celebrity." This day just keeps getting worse and worse.

Camille Grammer may be leaving Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, while Audrina Patridge gets her own show on VH1. I guess how it works in the reality show world is one airhead in, one airhead out.

It's not even surprising that there is a lot of news about reality shows. Networks are picking up new reality shows and even (gasp!) one scripted drama series, a model is joining the cast of Fringe, and a character may or may not be resurrected.

Really Ridiculous Reality Shows
Hills Stars Continue to Make Careers Out of Being Their Boring SelvesI know I'm partially to blame for the enduring success of The Hills and its respective "stars," being that despite my incessant rants that nothing ever effing happens on that show, I continue to tune in week after week, perhaps operating under the misapprehension that the one time I miss it will be the time producers finally decide to unleash a shitstorm. That said, I can't help but be infuriated by the fact that these bland tanorexics keep making money for doing essentially nothing but acting -- I use the term with no small sprinkling of irony -- like themselves. Say what you will about L.C.'s crappy fashion line -- at least it requires some measure of effort. Sure, it's unlikely she actually designs any of that ugly poo herself, but the whole endeavor is based on the idea that she has an actual interest in fashion and might have, at one point, drawn a sketch. The girl does, after all, attend fashion school (sometimes).
