With Fringe planning a musical-themed scene in an upcoming episode (we're mostly excited because Michael Cerveris is an awesome Broadway performer), the recent addition of musical numbers to shows like How I Met Your Mother, the cover tunes performed by Jeffster! on Chuck and, naturally, all things Glee, we started thinking about how other scripted series could get their characters singing. While there are some shows that could never pull characters breaking into song (24, for instance), here's who we think could carry a tune.

Conan O'Brien is reportedly going to announce a comedy tour, while reality shows like Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and American Idol have already done live shows. And Glee recently announced concert dates that include two nights at Radio City Music Hall. So why don't more TV shows head out around the country during their hiatuses for some up close and personal interactions with their fans? Heck, we think even dramas could be adapted to the live environment, with a little bit of imagination. Here's how:

It's still snowing here in New York and we're all starting to get a little stir crazy. If someone says they see creepy twins or messages in a mirror, I'm so out of here. In the meantime, there's some TV news happening in the outside world.

There's plenty of actual TV news going on today, so there's no need to desperately hang on to rumors about talk show drama! ...Alright, Jimmy Kimmel dressed up as Leno was pretty good, we'll give you that.

While today's TV news is solid, all I can think about is baby Halpert. Boy or girl? What'll its name be? Will it stress Jim and Pam out so much that they finally have their first fight? I'm giddy!

Good news today, as good television is coming back sooner and lasting longer. On the down side, Rick Springfield is going to show us his ass.
