It's a slow yet kind of hilarious day for TV news.
After watching not only the first episode of Happy Town (which aired last night) but also the next two, I'm left feeling quite ambivalent about this show. It has a decent cast (Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey and Frances Conroy), but considering that it's about a town with a serial killer, I found myself surprisingly bored by the pacing and the plotting.
It's the second day of upfronts, and while I was excited for this afternoon's ABC event because V is one of the new shows I'm most looking forward to, they had already announced this morning that it wouldn't be debuting until midseason, which dampened my enthusiasm a little. On the plus side, it was another upfront presentation that is conveniently streamed so that I didn't have to trek anywhere to see it.
