Can we make a list of reasons we don't like Ryan?
If you're part of the small population of people that thought Survivor needed more romance and that The Bachelor needed more snake pits, then Love in the Wild is the show for you. Though Season 2 of the reality dating/adventure show has attempted to bump up the dramatics from the previous season, kicking out Darren McMullen in favor of Jenny McCarthy, the show hasn't lost its pretty-but-totally-desperate contestants. We can't wait to see the ridiculous and semi-dangerous scenarios they will be forced into this upcoming season, all in the name of TV love. Take a look at some of the words of wisdom from the contestants on Week 1 of the new season.
We have to admit that during the year, we are very hard on shows (it's our job!), but in the summer, there are only a handful of series like Breaking Bad and True Blood that are Emmy-worthy. To get us through these barren months, we've got our reality staples like Big Brother and So You Think You Can Dance, and teen guilty pleasures like Pretty Little Liars and Degrassi, but that's not enough to fill our DVRs. So, we routinely lower our standards to discover some shows that might not be must-see during the regular season, but are tolerated -- and maybe even appreciated -- in the summer television doldrums.
Watch out: The Punisher is coming to your television screen.
Looks like it's still all Idol, all the time...
NBC is doing something awesome. I'm serious!
Thanks to the Independence Day holiday, we were free from The Bachelorette idiots and the Real Housewives of New Jersey this week, but there were still plenty of horrible people gracing our televisions. That said, for a change we're going to give a little shout-out to Lindsey on Expedition Impossible, who is probably the least heinous person ever to be on reality television. She got trampled by a camel, didn't whine, got up and then basically dragged her blistered sister up a mountain and through a river. Good going, Linds.
