While you can't always give their shows an "A" for quality, you have to give Syfy an "A" for creativity. I'd rather watch a show where Dr. Watson has been injected with vampire blood or Edgar Allan Poe's notebook starts killing people than another show about a dysfunctional family of cops or doctors.
There have been a lot of TV shows based on movies. Some go into development soon after the movie becomes a success. Some, like Eastwick, come out nearly 20 years later. But in the case of 2012, the upcoming John Cusack disaster movie, work has already begun on a follow-up TV series called 2013 -- and the film's not even out yet! Wanting to get on the bandwagon early, we looked at the upcoming slate and found ten movies that would make for entertaining TV series. Feel free to take these ideas and run with them, Hollywood!
The good news: Buffy the Vampire Slayer is getting a new video game for the Nintendo DS. The bad news: right now it's only going to be available in Europe. The weird news: A TV show that went off the air over five years ago is getting a video game release on a major handheld system, and not even in its country of origin. Can they do that?
