I hope I'm not the only one who spends a lot of time examining the underbelly of the IMDb -- "goofs," keywords, things like that. If I am the only one, that's a pity, because the selected keywords for movies and shows can get pretty damn hilarious. Take Chuck, for example: noodling around last night to find information on some guest star or other, I noticed the keywords for the show -- "Best Friend / Place Of Work / Computer Nerd / Spy Spoof / Slacker / Friendship Between Men."
Hee. But at least Chuck's make sense; the keywords for The Sopranos seem to have maybe a little problem focusing on priorities: "Female Nudity / Racism / Mob Violence / Gay Character / Organized Crime." I know they had a lot of scenes at the Bing, but come on.
Now let's see if you can guess which nighttime sudser this string of vaguely judgmental keywords describes: "Multiple Actors For One Character / Family / Soap / Homosexual / Intrigue." Doesn't narrow it down much, does it? Here's another hint: the list goes on at hilarious length, and includes the word "Catfight."
...Still not narrowed down much, I guess. Heh. But if you guessed Dynasty, you win smug satisfaction, and fond memories of Krystle sailing into the pool.
This week, you have a choice between hilarious comedies and gripping dramas, family fare and adult material, and original Star Trek and Next Generation. One might say that this week's offerings run the gamut.
