I'm not feeling too great about today's news. A lot of it's unsettling. I did find a sort of cool video with Ian McKellen in it, but that just doesn't make up for the rest. I mean, someone's giving Octomom a show, and that's not even the worst thing I read today. Click to accompany my misery.
The music world and the television world collide today with castings of Susan Boyle, TLC's Chilli, and Salt n' Pepa's Pepa, and I gotta say... I don't hate it. Also, Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni are awesome and will continue to be awesome, and of course, TWoP News would be nothing without a requisite Jon & Kate mentioning.
Reality shows, drama shows and remakes galore! (OK, there's only one remake mentioned in today's news.) Two TV stars (one reality, one drama) are starring in an 1984 remake, and one possible reality TV show is in the talks, to be hosted by an unlikely couple. Confused yet? Keep reading.
The personal gets political today with government solutions on how to combat overpopulation in India and the rescheduling of a presidential press conference. Oh, and television? Yeah, there's some of that, too.
I thought there wasn't anything exciting today, but as turns out, there's a good medley of news. A popular '90s series is coming out on DVD, there's a new legal dramedy about two rival sisters, and for all you alien-lovin' fans, there are two new sci-fi series. There's more, so keep reading.
As you've no doubt noticed by now, Britain's Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle has recently taken over the world. She is everywhere, and I'm being told incessantly that I'm to find her an "inspiration," even though that makes no sense. I don't begrudge the woman herself for it, because how was she supposed to know the world was going to go apeshit over her? Aside from being really sick of having Les Mis stuck in my head all the time now, I do, however, have a huge bone to pick with the media fervor, and here's why.
Susan Boyle is richer than Scrooge McDuck right now!
