The Emmy nominations are so 24 hours ago. Nobody's declined their nomination yet, so I'm officially declaring this TWoP News an Emmy-free zone. Unless somebody wants to nominate it for something.

Nooooooo! Say it ain't so! An Emmy-winner announces his inevitable departure from TV even as three more actor-types join the casts of established shows. One show is renewed as another drifts towards cancellation! And a man is forgiven, even as he is condemned. It's the circle of life!

A lot of dreams were crushed today, as we have been deprived of three very necessary things: more Sarah Palin interviews, more My Name is Earl episodes and, for many, any more TV at all. On the other hand, we get more Eric Roberts! It's a net gain!

Everything's Better With Music, Really Ridiculous Reality Shows, Today's TWoP News
Today's TWoP News: June 11, 2009Casting news abounds today, from BAG replacements to new ghost-busters to heavyweight hostesses. Also, an Idol gets a record deal, and it's not Gokey. Hooray!!!

With Fox and the CW set to announce their fall line-ups next week, it's a bit of a slow news day, but there are a few interesting stories out there if you like dinosaurs, animation and misleading headlines. So, that's everybody, right?

It's 4/20, booooy! While stoners at my alma mater celebrate what used to be known as Zonker Harris Day -- until they changed the name under threat of losing their funding, because apparently the potheads now need the administration to underwrite them -- I'm rolling up a big fattie of TV news for everyone to meditate on. It's not consciousness-expanding, but it will make you paranoid.

I started off not being able to find any good news, but then I kinda hit the mother lode. Some very funny guys got cast in some hopefully funny TV shows, Simon Cowell may leave our country for good, and Showtime is going to Camelot. Meanwhile, Tim Robbins is S.O.L. It's all ahead, on Today's TwoP News!
