Whoa, is it awards season again already?
I think we might just have found the winner for best May sweeps guest star.
If you've ever seen an episode of Shear Genius, you know that hair stylists can be pretty crazy. (Brig, I'm looking in your direction.) Naturally, I was expecting the stylists of Oxygen's new show, Hair Battle Spectacular, which is all about fantasy hair, to be utter lunatics, but they all seem to be pretty normal. Granted, their names are ridiculous -- the lineup includes Fingaz, Valley Girl, Minista, Tsunami, Boss, Roo, Malibu, Cajmonet, Sexi Lexi and J-Rok -- but their personalities seem pretty grounded... after one episode, at least. Maybe they'll get crazier. That possibility may be helped along by the fact that the salon has a bar in it.
From New York socialites to the New York musical theater world -- it's all drama, I suppose.
Liars, Criminals and saboteurs are all over today's news! Plus: You want me to start paying for Hulu?
(Anyone else remember Patton Oswalt's bit about his TiVo? Go buy it off iTunes if you haven't. Trust me.)
Anyway: NBC Universal has hooked up with our old friend TiVo in a nefarious yet admittedly ingenious plan to figure out how to send you interactive commercials based on what you record. And dude, they own Oxygen now! Imagine the kind of filthy affinity marketing they're going to line up for fans of The Bad Girls Club! [Shudder.]
