So the all-new-all-different Project Runway Season Six premiered last night in its new home on Lifetime, and aside from the new setting in Los Angeles, it really wasn't that different. Which would have been fine, it's still an entertaining show, except it was sandwiched between an additional two and a half hours of Runway -- a two-hour All-Star Challenge and a half-hour spin-off, Models of the Runway. I know we've all been missing the show, and under normal circumstances I would have been happy to get three hours of it, but when it feels like you're watching the same episode over and over again, it gets a little old.

Better Off Ted premiered last night, and I'm already getting ready to bid it a fond farewell. Not because I dislike it -- far from it. I'm saying good-bye now because the show, created by Victor Fresco, feels a hell of a lot like his previous office-based, single-camera series, Andy Richter Controls the Universe. Andy was amazing, and this show is almost as amazing, but Andy only lasted 19 episodes -- a decent run, I suppose, but that's less than a season by most counts, and if Ted lasts as long as Andy did, I will consider it a success. Because, like Andy, Ted may be too smart for the room. (Not my room, but other rooms. Not that I think that other people are stupid, but... a lot of them are.)

Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. ...Okay, I guess I should say more, since I'm the one who begged to write a gushing love note to the Season 2 premiere of Burn Notice, the USA Network's sizzling spy series. I should point out that it was actually my very first episode, having not seen any Season 1 episodes, I'd only read M. Giant's handy cheat sheet, so it was like getting thrown into the middle of a firefight with only the barest idea of what to expect. Hey, kinda like how ex-spy Michael Westen started off the episode! Here're my five favorite things about the premiere.
