It's almost not fair for Fox to hold their Upfront presentation the same day as NBC's. The difference between the networks is night and day, with Fox premiering a handful of huge, splashy new shows while boasting their many existing hits and 7-years-at-number-one track record, while NBC is trying to bounce back from a completely failed 2010 programming slate with an entirely new one and only one certified ratings hit in The Voice. So, even though quite a few of Fox's new shows look abysmal, I really can't feel too sorry for them. Let's take a look at what's new.

We've all been saying it, and now Tim Kring's admitting it: this season of Heroes sucks the audience's collective left one, and it sucks hard. Will he be able to right the ship before the quasi-finale next month? Will I still be watching by then?

Hollywood To TWoP: Hello There!
Tim Kring and Zachary Quinto Talk Heroes Season 3, Defend Heroes Season 2It seems like a century has passed since the last new Heroes episode aired, so with Season 3's September 22 premiere rapidly approaching, we dialed in to a massive media chat with creator Tim Kring and Sylar himself, Zachary Quinto, to get caught up on what has happened and what we can expect to see next season. Before we begin I should warn you about two things: 1) If you ever meet Tim Kring, do not bring up Season 2; it's a very touchy subject with him, and 2) that everyone on this call received a screener of the first hour of the Season 3 premiere, so if you want to be super duper surprised when the episode airs, do not read on. The events of the first hour of the premiere are discussed after the jump, spoiler-phobes!

I've been pretty vocal about how bad Heroes has been lately (in fact, I recently offered up a list of seven things they could do to make it stop sucking) and I'm not alone. But I am somewhat surprised that the powers that be actually seem to be listening. Or at least Tim Kring is making a move to stop the madness.

Hey, Heroes viewers! Tim Kring has thought long and hard about you loyal ladies and gents and has decided that all of you fall into one of two groups: either you're a superior sumbitch, or you're an [expletives] sap. Fun! Either way, it's everybody else's fault but his own that Heroes has crap ratings these days. Read the quote below to decipher which one you are. It's like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book! Oh, Tim Kring, how do you come up with all these hip nerd references all the time? And without even ever having lifted a comic book in your life, you say?! You're a national treasure.

Despite promises by Tim Kring (who, to steal a phrase from Demian, is a lying liar who lies) that there would be no time wasted on new characters this season, we're getting yet another new character this season. And don't kill me, but I'm actually excited about this one. I know, I know, heresy. The character is vaguely being called "The Hunter," and he will be played by Damages Emmy winner Zeljko Ivanek, who is awesome in every way, and certainly capable of being a very creepy bad guy. At least that's what it sounds like he will be because hunters scare me. I just hope he specializes in hunting down stupid time-traveling plot twists and shoots 'em dead! Or stupid time-traveling Peters and... shoots 'em dead! The character will appear for a multi-episode arc beginning with episode 14. What do you think? Bad guy? Good guy? Who needs to be hunted the most? Fire at will!
