"The CW and our studio partner CBS Paramount Network Television have made the strategic marketing decision not to screen "90210" for any media in advance of its premiere. We're not hiding anything - simply keeping a lid on 90210 until 9.02, riding the curiosity and anticipation into premiere night, and letting all our constituents see it at the same time."
That's... unusual. I don't think that many people actually think this show is going to be good, but I know everybody is going to watch it, at least for one episode. Pans and spoilers from the blogs is not going to deter that in the least, especially since Tori Spelling is mercifully out of the mix now. So why hide it? They can't possibly care what the reviews are. Maybe just to drum up a zillion blog posts about the CW withholding the new 90210 because no one cared about the boring poster of kids in a numbers-shaped pool? Well played, CW.
