Looks like Sam Evans' homeless family is going to be a-okay.
Chord Overstreet, who recently left Glee despite fan protests, will be joining The Middle as Brick (Atticus Shaffer)'s new teacher. It's already going to be hard taking him seriously as a professional with his young face, but we'd sit in on a lesson from Mr. Trouty Mouth any day.
Jersey Shore's Vinny will be following up his guest stint on The Hard Times of RJ Berger with a role on The CW's 90210 as "a young and gregarious celebrity who enjoys the fruits of fame." Although he's arguably Jersey Shore's most serious cast member, he might have to finally do some real acting and lose the accent, or no one will believe him to be gregarious.
You win some, you lose some with ABC Family: the network axed Nine Lives of Chloe King (RIP pancake sandwiches) and instead picked up Bunheads, a pilot from Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino about a Las Vegas showgirl who impulsively gets married and moves to a small town to teach dance. It'll be nice to see Miss Patty back on our screens, albeit much younger, but hopefully Sherman-Palladino doesn't give us Stars Hollow 2.0. (Especially not Luke's daughter April 2.0. Or Dean 2.0.)
Although Bravo finally confirmed Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Cindy Barshop and Kelly Bensimon will be leaving Real Housewives of New York City, this probably won't be the last we hear of them. Bravo mentioned "ongoing discussions" with the women, while Millionaire Matchmaker's Patti Stanger tweeted Jill Zarin might have a show of her own and Simon Van Kempen, Alex's husband, said they would be back on television... but unless it's for a reunion trip to Scary Island, we won't be watching.
Aaron Sorkin showed up to an Emmy party with a swollen nose, prompting questions. His attacker? A mirror. Sorkin was reading dialogue he wrote for his new HBO show when he got a little to into the script and accidentally hit his nose in the mirror. If anyone can hurt himself while writing, it's Sorkin -- after all, someone's bound to mess up during those extended walking-and-talking scenes.
