It's a great day for TV shows and people we actually like.
In a day of extremely slow news (seriously, this story made headlines), we're happy to see that Alphas got the love it (specifically Gary) deserves: Syfy has renewed the summer show for a second season.
FX reports that Sons of Anarchy's fourth season premiere scored the series' highest ratings ever: 4.94 million total live viewers. Might some of those screens belong to next year's Emmy voters?
Congrats to Meryl Streep, who will be a recipient at the 2011 Kennedy Center Honors. We're hoping they keep it topical and have Anna Wintour sing "Mamma Mia" to her while cooking a pot of beef bourguignon and making love to Alec Baldwin.
Fox is co-financing Steven Spielberg's 2013 summer sci-fi thriller, Robopocalypse. No word yet if Steven Spielberg will have any part of the movie other than just slapping his name on the project.
And finally, your headline of the day: "Toddlers and Tiaras" Mom: Baby Hooker Outfit Is Harmless.
