That lucrative new reality show with pretty good ratings has been renewed!
Fox has given The X Factor another season, which is boring compared to the other big X Factor news today: Dexter Haygood is claiming he kicked himself off the show and cut a deal with the producers to let him leave. Given that Haygood is homeless, this remark is either entirely improbable, or just kind of sad on his part.
That little four-week hiatus Fox took during the World Series may be to blame for the crappy ratings Glee and New Girl received last night. Or because, ya know, each show's episode was terrible.
Jonathan Tucker (The Black Donnellys) just nabbed a recurring role on Parenthood as a "frighteningly young and attractive political candidate for whom Amber (Mae Whitman) and Kristina (Monica Potter) go to work." If it wasn't for her awesome work with Max a few episodes ago, I'd make a joke about how Amber's going to literally screw this one up, but now there's reason to believe the writers don't want her to be a total waste of life.
MTV has bought a Latina comedy from Jennifer Lopez about a recent NYU graduate who is forced to move back to suburban Texas because of the economy. Sure.
Release the hounds: Jersey Shore Season Five debuts January 5.
