The SAG nominees have been announced, with one glaring omission that may kill us all.
Did Claire Danes run over the SAG president's dog or something? Homeland and its leading lady (as well as its male star, Damian Lewis) were probably the most surprising omissions from the just announced list of SAG Awards nominations. Also missing in our humble opinion? The casts of Parks and Recreation and Community respectively. That The Office and 30 Rock were chosen over their far funnier NBC Thursday brethren simply does not compute. (On the other hand, it's hard to begrudge Steve Carell his solo nomination -- "Goodbye, Michael" was the last genuinely good Office episode, after all.) But kudos to SAG for recognizing Breaking Bad and, particularly, Game of Thrones. We'd love to see the Starks triumph at the SAG Awards because, lord knows, they didn't make out so well on the actual show.
Speaking of Homeland, does anyone else feel a tinier bit safer that President Obama watches it? He also enjoys watching Modern Family with the kids, and tunes in to Boardwalk Empire after dark.
No stranger of vengeance and backstabbing thanks to his roles on 24 and Knots Landing, veteran small-screen star William Devane will take his talents to the Hamptons, guest-starring on two episodes of ABC's primetime soap Revenge as Queen Victoria's stern father, Edward Grayson. Look for Devane to make his entrance in February.
Move over, Lowes and Kayak: The latest company to hate All-American Muslim is PETA, for when Shadia made her husband get rid of his beloved 16-year-old beagle. Say what you will about the ethics and politics of it all, but if you saw the car pull away from that dog ranch as the li'l pup tried to chase it, you'd protest, too. Or at least feel pretty sad!
It's official! Christopher Meloni has joined HBO's True Blood as a regular starting with the show's fifth season. The ex-SVU star will play a vampire "who controls the fate of the show's major characters." What if none of them believe in fate?
Former jailbird and Survivor winner is pitching a reality show about his relationship with the children conceived from his sperm donation, for some godawful reason.
