At this rate, Joss Whedon will be working on superheroes for the rest of his career... hope he likes Spandex.
Joss Whedon has just signed an exclusive deal to create a new live action series for Marvel Television at ABC. Just because Wonder Woman didn't exactly go over as planned -- and Smallville got DVR deletable after Season 2 -- doesn't mean that we don't have high hopes for a Whedon-ized hero (or heroine!) in the future of our TVs. Now that she's no longer busy with the mess that was Ringer, Sarah Michelle Gellar could totally work her way into the new TV superhero universe.
Who needs Dan Harmon? Little Britain's Matt Lucas will guest star on Season 4 of Community. While Lucas is probably best known for his role in Bridesmaids in the US, we think that he's just weird enough to make a good addition to Greendale.
Nick isn't aging well on New Girl -- Raymond Barry of Justified will guest star on the show as a man who claims to be Nick from the future. While we're much more interested in seeing what Schmidt will be like in the future, if Future Nick is anything like the Past Nick -- who recorded a videotape to make sure that Present Nick never again dated the manipulative Caroline -- we're pretty excited.
New Girl isn't the only place to see Rachael Harris next season. She will guest star on Happy Endings as a real estate agent.
Everyone's favorite wheelchair-bound New Directions member might be heading to a new Fox show. Glee's Kevin McHale is under consideration to co-host The X Factor this fall. Think alleged BFF Demi Lovato (and Teen Choice Awards co-host) got the producers to eye Kevin for the gig? Maybe, or perhaps Fox just saw the last season of Glee and thought that they would try to save Kevin from a lifetime of working on a show that tends to forget about what happened in the previous episode.
BBC Three has commissioned a documentary on the movie theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado entitled The Batman Shootings. The film will explore gun control with a special focus on what young people think about the issue.
