Looks like this b---- is being shown the door.
As if you couldn't tell from the way ABC kept airing episodes out of order, Don't Trust the B---- in Apt. 23's future is seriously bleak. So it's no surprise that the network has taken the series off the air altogether, replacing it with back-to-back episodes of the similarly doomed Happy Endings. Eight episodes of the titular bitch's activities will remain unseen until an as-of-yet unspecified time... most likely the show's DVD and/or Netflix Instant debut.
Fox's big midseason hopeful The Following scared up a decent-sized audience for its series premiere. 10.4 million viewers tuned in to watch Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy make eyes at each other in between bloody murders. The news wasn't as positive for The CW's The Carrie Diaries, which lost 19% of its viewership from its already little-watched debut. If you're keeping score of '90s relics, that's Kevin Williamson, 1 and Sex and the City, 0.
S.H.I.E.L.D. is coming, S.H.I.E.L.D. is coming! One of the writers behind Joss Whedon's Marvel Comics-derived TV series snapped a bunch of photos from the pilot's first day of shooting. Are we still sure this isn't Whedon's elaborate attempt to reboot Firefly?
On second thought, probably not since former space cowboy Nathan Fillion is doing just fine over on Castle these days, scoring high ratings and attracting famous guest stars like James Brolin, who will play his dad on a February episode. In other Firefly news, Summer Glau will appear on a spring episode of Hawaii Five-0. Now somebody just need to get poor Jewel Staite a job.
On the heels of that amazing New York Times Magazine tell-all about the making of the Lindsay Lohan vehicle The Canyons (seriously, read it if you haven't already), the embattled starlet has turned down an offer to be on Dancing with the Stars. Honestly though, ABC may have dodged a bullet. Didja see the ratings for Liz & Dick?
