The DVD industry continues its long, slow march to the new fall season, with the previous seasons for over a half-dozen of our favorite shows hitting stores today. But before we get to those, we have news about a blast from your past that just hit DVD...

Our Gang
Warner Bros. has made a lot of movies over the years, and if you count all of the shorts they used to do, back when theaters showed that kind of thing, the number gets even bigger. One of those series of shorts, Our Gang, was just released on DVD from the Warner archives, and while it's doubtful anyone reading this actually saw them in theaters, you may have seen them during their long run on TV as The Little Rascals. Each 10-minute short followed the adventures of a motley crew of kids with names like Spanky, Porky, Froggy, Alfalfa and Buckwheat -- the latter of whom became an Eddie Murphy character on Saturday Night Live. They're a piece of television (and movie) history!

Supernatural: The Complete Fourth Season
Who's your favorite Winchester brother? Is it innocent, floppy-haired Sam, or suave, confident Dean? Why choose when you can have both... on DVD?

Rescue Me: Season 5, Vol. 1
The first half of the new season is out, complete with Michael J. Fox, 9/11 conspiracy theories, and Dennis Leary banging everything that moves. Now that's good television.

Heroes: Season 3
"Villains" and "Fugitives" are both collected in this set, in case anybody cares anymore. No? Don't you want to know what's going on when you start watching the circus people next season? Ray Park and T-Bag? Ah, you can probably pick it up as you go...

Also out this week:
Desperate Housewives: The Complete Fifth Season Creepy Dave says "You can't miss!"
Brothers and Sisters: The Complete Third Season Two scoops of siblings in every episode!
CSI Crime Scene Investigation: The Complete 9th Season Now with more Cowboy Curtis!
Two and a Half Men: The Complete Sixth Season ...Comedy fails me. And yet, this show lives on.
