You've heard of showkillers? Well, apparently Yvonne Strahovski is a showsavior

Dexter: The Seventh Season
After a moribund sixth year, Showtime's signature serial killer series bounced back with a significantly stronger Season 7. To what can we credit this creative uptick? Well, a new twist on the Debra/Dexter relationship helped, with the title character's sister finally discovering what her bro's extracurricular activities consisted of... and even becoming an accomplice in his crimes. The introduction of Chuck veteran Yvonne Strahovski as the (supposedly) reformed assistant to a "spree killer" and love interest for ol' Dex helped as well. But maybe the thing that helped most of all was the creeping awareness that the series was finally entering its endgame. Much like Lost rediscovered its mojo when a definite endpoint was set, the fact that Dexter was at last closing in on its period, full stop ending lent some much-needed momentum to the series. One month ago, Showtime confirmed that Season 8 (which premieres June 30) would indeed by Dexter's swan song. Here's hoping the series goes out more like Season 7 and less like Season 6.
Extras: The pilot episode of the new Showtime series, Ray Donovan, as well as the first two episodes of Season 2 of The Borgias and Season 1 of House of Lies.

Liz & Dick
The idea that Lindsay Lohan would be playing screen legend Elizabeth Taylor in a made-for-Lifetime TV movie was met with the proper amount of ridicule when it was first announced. And leading up to the movie's premiere date, the excitement level amongst media outlets reached a fever pitch, with many expected a flop of Ed Woodian proportions. Sadly, Liz & Dick isn't bad enough to be that... well, good. Mainly, it's just generic biopic fodder that's occasionally punctuated by some laughably bad "acting" from Lindsay, who has absolutely zero chemistry with her onscreen Dick (Grant Bowler, currently of Defiance, acting opposite an actress who is more like an alien than any of the actual aliens on that Syfy series). Apparently, the viewing audience knew something that critics didn't; ratings for the film were significantly smaller than the media hype surrounding it. On the plus side, that means that we won't be getting a sure-to-be-terrible sequel focusing on Lohan acting out Taylor's later years. On the minus side... that means we won't be getting a sure-to-be-hilarious sequel focusing on Lohan acting out Taylor's later years.
Extras: None... legal woes undoubtedly kept La Lohan from recording a commentary track, which is a crying shame.
