TWoP 10: Characters Who Most Deserve to Find Love

Coach Beiste found herself a sweet and appropriate beau this week on Glee, and if the unlikely football coach can find a love interest, then there's hope for anyone out there -- just look at Up All Night's Ava and Kenny on Man Up!, who got their own doses of tenderness, too (for now, anyways). We've identified these other lovelorn and lonely TV characters who most seem like they (and their shows) would benefit from a little bit of romance in their lives.

TWoP 10: TV Couples We Just Don't Buy

The sweeping fairytale romance between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries officially ended last Monday, and we're heartbroken because it seemed like they were in it for the long haul. We're kidding, of course -- like most sane onlookers, we assumed the two were in a sham relationship orchestrated to generate media coverage and further her fame. But as cacophonous as the frenzy over their nuptials (and now split) was, we thought we could at least escape it by losing ourselves in our favorite scripted shows -- except for the fact that TV is filled with its share of equally unbelievable pairings. Here are the ones we really can't believe in:

TwoP 10: Characters We Want Back From the Dead

To be clear, this list has nothing to do with characters we miss. When we write "Want Back From the Dead," we mean "Want Back For Full-Out Zombie Vengeance." Our choices have little to do with how much we liked (or loathed) these now-dead characters, and everything to do with how awesome it would be to see them return to their shows and eat the human flesh of their former cast mates during a monstrous apocalypse. Spoilers abound, so beware!

TWoP 10: Wealthy TV Characters Revenge's Emily Thorne Should Target Next

We've been hooked on Revenge since the pilot episode, loving the amazing different ways that Emily/Amanda (with a little help from Nolan) takes down rich, corrupt Hamptonites each week. But eventually, she's going to run out of people who have personally wronged her and is going to have nothing to do with her time and money. When that day comes, we'd like to see her continue enacting vigilante justice against these other wealthy TV characters.

TWoP 10: Best Network Decisions of the Fall

Most of the time, we're up in arms about decisions that TV networks make (particularly when they cancel shows that we love) but this fall, there have been a surprising number good moves on their part -- not including the full-season pickup for the increasingly awful Whitney, of course. Here are the ones we respect the most:

TWoP 10: Instant Ways to Improve This Fall's Shows

With fall TV in full swing, there are already shows getting cancelled, others getting full-season pickups and still more returning shows that could use a little help. While some programs have problems that could take an entire year to repair (see: House), these other series just need some quick fixes that would make them exponentially more entertaining almost immediately.

TWoP 10: Best New Supporting Characters of the Fall

We're only a few weeks into the fall season, but there are already several supporting characters on the new shows who have already captured our attention. In some cases, we're actually more fascinated by these secondary roles than the leads of their respective shows.

TWoP 10: Midseason Shows We're Already Excited About

Fall season is underway, and maybe it's just us, but we're already sick of seeing ads for these shows and talking about these pilots. Especially since almost all of the pilots we did see that really knocked our socks off aren't airing until midseason. We are not patient people, so we're looking ahead at the winter to the shows that have piqued our interest. Some we haven't seen, but on paper they've got a lot of potential and could be the cure for our forthcoming winter doldrums.

TWoP 10: Worst New Shows of Fall 2011

Last week, we ranked the must-see new fall shows, so this week we're doing the opposite. These are the shows you should really avoid at all costs. It's too late for us, since we diligently sat through all of the pilots, but you can still save yourselves (and your DVRs).

TWoP 10: Must-See New Shows of Fall 2011

We're anxiously waiting for new cable shows American Horror Story and Hell on Wheels, but since we haven't screened them yet, we have to withhold our final judgment (if nothing else, we're hoping Hell fills the Deadwood-shaped hole in our hearts). And while The X Factor will likely be insanely popular, we can't say that it will actually be good (not that it matters; we'll watch every minute). But we have seen the pilots for virtually every scripted show coming to broadcast TV this fall, and judging by their first episodes, we can confidently recommend setting your DVRs for these ten at the very least:
