Recent Comedy Central roastee and Celebrity Apprentice host Donald Trump has mentioned his interest in running for president of the United States, and while we laughed that off at first, apparently he's got a shot. According to a recent poll of Republican primary voters, he's currently the second choice to get the nomination. Maybe the American people love that comb-over after all? To prepare ourselves for the impossible coming true, we've looked ahead at Trump's first ten orders of business upon taking the Oval Office.

When we heard about some recent developments in the world of television, we truly thought -- or at least hoped -- that they were actually just early April Fool's Day jokes. Alas, as far as we know, all of these are really happening, or have already occurred, much to our dismay.

With the cable networks announcing their new lineups, and just a general glut of reality programming on the airwaves, there seems to be more familiar-sounding unscripted shows than ever before. While we might enjoy some of the original versions, all of these knock-offs and spinoffs are getting to be a bit much. So we're asking (no, pleading) that these subjects officially be off limits for any future reality series.

It's hard to believe that the reality TV genre can keep producing new personalities that are even more outrageous, annoying and/or disgusting than the last ones. But yet this spring alone has brought us another crop of folks we love to hate. Some of them are actually familiar faces we may have enjoyed watching in the past, while others are gifting us with their awfulness for the first time.

In the spirit of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day, we got to thinking about some of the characters on television who seem to have all of the luck. In some of these cases, we're baffled by just how these people keep having wonderful things to happen to them. Maybe they have the luck of the Irish, have a leprechaun hidden in their closet or have sold their souls to the Devil... Yes, maybe we're just a touch jealous, too.

We admit that we were more than a little skeptical when we heard that Simon was leaving American Idol and that they'd ousted all of the other judges besides the typically useless Randy Jackson. And we were still skeptical after the first couple of audition episodes in which Steven Tyler was just talking crazy and Jennifer Lopez refused to be mean. But since the first Hollywood week, this season has completely turned around, and instead of hoping that it would fade away after this year, we're totally enjoying it. Well, as much as we can enjoy a glorified karaoke competition. Here's why Idol is now better than it's been in ages:

There's been a lot of debate recently about whether MTV's Skins actually represents "real" teenage life and what sort of supposedly terrible example it's setting, but judging by the rest of the television landscape, there could be a lot worse places to send your fictional children to school. The internet recently went wild with the news that Michael Rosenbaum (a.k.a. Lex Luthor) would be returning to Smallville for the season finale. Now, for the first time in years, we're genuinely excited about an episode of that show. So with that in mind, we got to thinking about some other actors and actresses who we wish would find their way back to their former series for at least a guest appearance, even if they've already moved on to new roles.

It's nearly Valentine's Day and while we could delight in recalling the romantic TV couples that made us swoon in the past, or list the cute almost-couples we want to have hook up now, we've opted instead to focus on current pairings who just have no business at all being together. Perhaps we've just got cold black hearts, but we'd love to see these folks split up for everyone's sake, especially viewers like us.

Going where other shows have gone before in search of a ratings gimmick to kick off sweeps, Grey's Anatomy this month will be airing a real-time episode. Sort of like 24 or 30 Minute Meals, there won't be any jumps in time, allowing us to spend most of an hour with Meredith as she spends that time in the hospital's ER. While watching her stress out over trauma victims for a solid hour could be a fun change of pace, there are plenty of shows whose real-time episodes would be way better.
